Washbay Design and Build For Maranello Tower, Egham
Along with the car showroom refurbishment and the Maranello Tower, the addition of an independent valeting facility was a real challenge, as the listed Tower Garage building could not have an inappropriate addition.
TWP Designs obtained listed building consent for the work and then designed and built a steel-framed facility. Included in the work was a ‘light service’ bay so that minor works could be carried out to cars about to go out on test drives.
The site is on a distinct slope, so a major challenge was to keep the levels and gradient changes very slight so that the high-performance cars could get up the inclines.
