HID - Deliver an innovative and intelligent presentation room and reception area
The Problem
HID, a world-renowned lock and security systems specialist, approached TWP Designs and asked us to propose how we could add some magic to their reception and sales presentation rooms.
This was particularly challenging as the factory was mid-construction when the clients expressed a requirement for their distributors to have conference facilities.
The Solution
HID had no clear solution in mind so TWP Designs embarked on a lengthy consultation process in partnership with HID in order to discover their objectives.
The design evolved over a number of site visits and meetings and was finalised during a day long brain storming session lead by TWP Designs in a conference room in St Albans.
The finished presentation room had a number of smart features, including a curved wall and door theme and integral storage and display units.
TWP Designs created a flexible space able to transform quickly into a variety of different uses. The conference table folds away and the high quality chairs are wheeled away and stored in a custom built area along the side of the room. High quality stackable chairs are brought out to make the room into a lecture theatre.
The conference table includes multi-national power and data sockets fitted into movable modules.
A display unit has numerous flat screens and swipe-card fittings which demonstrate HID’s range of security and lock systems and a kitchen installation allows for lunch to be served and cleared away.
The original reception area was small, confined and not very interesting. TWP planned, designed and installed a new reception area which included special curved features to soften the look, a bespoke desk and special monitor panel, together with 600x600 mm Italian floor tiles.
