Cambridgeshire Research Centre - Refurbishment and renorvation of office and conference centre
The Problem
The buildings are old Nissan hut types and were fitted out to a very low standard. Not knowing where to start or even if interior refurbishment was a viable option for these buildings, the Research Centre called in TWP Designs to see if we could wave our magic wand and turn them into an impressive conference centre.
The Solution
TWP Designs started by totally stripping out the huts to ensure the structure would be sound enough to last. We then rebuilt the huts throughout to a very high standard, including all new ceilings, floors, heating and lighting. To add a touch of finesse to the final interior refurbishment, the conference centre is finished with beautiful Sapele panels.
The final conference centre gives the Research Centre a quality facility fit for all purposes and has utilised an existing structure, avoiding the unnecessary costs involved in pulling it down and having to construct a new building.
