Suffolk Electronics - Requirement to rationalise office and production space
The Problem
In an increasing challenging marketplace, Suffolk Electronics approached TWP Designs to solve a pressing space problem. With one rented factory, and another separate owned site, there was a need to reorganise.
The Solution
A complete review of all the factory space was carried out, with an assessment of the present and future needs, together with a realistic examination of the budget available. Quotations were obtained for a brand new building but these were found to be over budget.
Detailed plans were drawn up and these 3D visualisations to demonstrate how the owned factory could accomodate the extra space by the clever introdution of bespoke mezzanine floors.
Because of the need for large open spaces, especially engineered floors were designed with many less columns than the norm. This allowed detailed planning to proceed and for a proposal which the customer says "makes space out of thin air".
